One Drop: Better Health Today App Reviews

A confused and noisy app

First, this gave me five notifications within the first two hours of using the app. Three of them were just wishing me well. That is a noisy app. Second, it kept prompting me to take medication I did not list. This wants to track sugar, activity, food and medication. In theory this is the first app built 100% on carekit, so good job there, although the history in the app goes back to May 3, 2015. I have an idea. Start the history the day I install the app. So this tries to do too much, it does it poorly and it sends too many useless notifications. Needs a ton of work.

Syncing?

Ok its not freezing thanks to the update. I love the ability to compile the data and send it to others. I dont think it is syncing to HealthKit. This was a main reason I was switching to this app. I will let you know if it does. *Update. My second and third numbers updated into HealthKit. Not sure where that first reading went.

One drop review

This app has helped change the way I mange my diabetes. It helped me be more efficient as well as encouraged me to continue to keep track of everything. I love this app.

Helper!

This has helped me track my bs daily. Only small complaint. I dont always get the exact # on the circle. I would like to manually put my #s in instead of a wheel. Great App!

Its good, but could be better

I like it, but I hate how the CGM data is imported as BG, so my dot graph looks flooded with pink. If those could be noted with just a line connecting them behind the actual BG numbers, it could make the visual drop line look cleaner and better.

Great App

Really getting a handle on my diabetes thanks to this app.

Love the feedback

I absolutely love the feedback notifications that this app gives. As a newly diagnosed T2D, these little notices have been just want I need for a lighthearted laugh at just the right moments in my day. Unicorns, rainbows, gnomes, and haikus - they have really kept me going the last week, so keep it up!!

Crash

Crashes when I try to open it

Good start!

Ive been using mySugr to log my numbers and I got really excited when I saw this app because I love finding new diabetes things to try! The concept is pretty cool because it lets you interact with others a tiny bit but it seems a bit useless seeing as you cant really comment on things. The way that the data is displayed is also a bit hard to read and confusing and I much prefer the simple way that mySugr displays it, but this app has cute notifications and reminders and I really like that you dont have to pay for all that (yet). With a few more improvements, this app could be everything I could ever ask for!

Very close to being what I need

This looks awesome so far. I love how it lets you choose ‘easy-mode’ or detailed entry for things like food, and it has one of the best searches I’ve seen for finding food carbs. Now, if it had an insulin calculator, like Daily Carb, that automatically pulled in the carbs and glucose numbers and spit out how many units of insulin you needed to take, it would be perfect.

Dont waste your time.

Not even close to being accurate or helpful.

Brilliant!

Love the design , being able to pull carbs for the food Im adding is the most useful thing ever

Cute but ...

I am keeping it for the notifications basically! I love the sayings that pop up but prefer MySugr system and reporting. The one thing this app does well is the logging from a CGM. Inputting the information isnt extremely intuitive but the design looks really beautiful. Also the name is great :)

Nice start but requires manual entry

I have a Dexcom CGM and the iPhone app automatically recovers my blood sugar data. Until this app will automatically record and display this data automatically, this app wont be getting much use.

As a newly diagnosed Diabetic...

...Im glad I found an app that makes this deadly disease FUN! Nice UI and super easy to use! Would love integration with other apps like Withings, My Fitness Pal, Fitbit, etc so that food and activity data isnt redundant. Thanks for the app!!!

Good app needs some tweaks

Need to be able to set more than one glucose range. There should be a fasting/pre meal range and a post meal range. Right now my stats say no highs when I have been high several mornings but if I lower my range then my post meal readings are always recorded as high even when in range. You should also be able to add more medicines by typing in names so you can track everything in one app. I personally would prefer to be able to have the option to type in my numbers than use the dial both options would be nice. Different graph options to track your stats would also be helpful. But this a very good start.

Useless, annoying, and horrendous

Dont let looks deceive you with this app. There are multiple free apps out there that are more functional and useless than this. The worst thing about this app is its countless notifications that are awkward and annoying. I got 6 "motivational" notifications today that do nothing but make me feel worse about my diabetes. Will be deleting this app.

LOVE IT!!

I now have all my data - my CGM, myFitnessPal for food tracking and my BG meter - all in one place by using the Health App to connect them all. Cannot wait to get my pump streamed in as well. Its a beautiful thing seeing all the data together - now if we could get that data to be real time I would be ecstatic but definitely started in the right direction!

I LOVE THIS APP

This app has made keeping track of SO many things easy, even on days when I dont want to keep track of them.

Pretty but not helpful

It is a pretty ui but does not do much for me and it crashes a lot. Finger spinning slider thing too hard to use.
